Baptism

baptism

Baptism is the sign of God’s covenant (promise of love) with us, made fully known in Jesus Christ.  As United Methodists, we recognize that God makes this covenant with people of all ages, not just those who can speak for themselves.  For infants and children, parents make the promise to raise their children in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Because we believe that baptism is a once-in-a-lifetime event, we do not rebaptize anyone, but will gladly talk with you about ways of reaffirming your baptism. If you would like to talk about your journey of faith and explore whether God is leading you towards baptism please contact the church office to schedule a time to meet with the pastor.
