You’re invited to travel the Holy Land with us in 2017

Dear Winamac First UMC friends,

The Holy Land has sometimes been called “The Fifth Gospel”, because when you walk land of Israel the story of the Bible comes alive like never before.  If you’d like to have that experience for yourself, then Mary and I would like to invite you to travel to the Holy Land with us on April 18-28, 2017, when we’ll be hosting our next tour in cooperation with the Jerusalem Center for Biblical Studies (JCBS).
We’re excited about this tour which will start in Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, and then take us on a life-changing journey to many of the most important places in his earthly ministry.  Our 11-day adventure will then end up in Jerusalem where we’ll stand on the Temple Mount, walk the Way of the Cross, and share Holy Communion at the Garden Tomb before returning home with a whole new understanding of “the greatest story ever told”.
A complete brochure of the experience is attached, and you can also find this brochure, plus more great resources, on the JCBS website by clicking on this link: Holy Land Brochure  Hard copies of the brochure will be available soon.
Want to know more?  Then we’d like to invite you to a no-obligation info session to be held at the church on Sunday, May 15, at 4:00 p.m.  This session will include pictures and stories, along with details about travel arrangements (hotels, transportation, meals, etc.) and costs.  Plus… there will be a light supper of Mediterranean finger foods and treats.  The supper (optional) will start by 5 p.m. and the whole session will end no later than 6 p.m.
In the meantime, if we can answer any other questions for you, please feel free to contact us at church (574-946-4971), in person, or by email (Pastor Dave: ; Mary:  We also invite you to share this email with anybody else you think might be interested.  Thanks!
I plan to post an online blog from Israel, as I recently did from Turkey and Greece; however, Mary and I would love to share the adventure with some of you personally as well.  We promise you, you’ll never be the same!
God’s peace,
Pastor Dave
